Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) is a voluntary Medicaid program. It is a program that helps individuals of all ages live their best life by providing supports that address their unique needs related to mental health and substance use. CCS is intended to assist individuals who are in need of care outside of inpatient settings, but who may have ongoing needs that, if left unaddressed, could result in hospitalizations during times of crisis. It is a recovery-focused, integrated behavioral health program for adults with severe mental illness and/or substance use disorders and children with severe emotional disturbance. CCS provides a coordinated, comprehensive, community-based array of recovery services, treatment and psychosocial rehabilitation services. Services are provided by teams of professionals, peer specialists and natural supports, all coordinated by a CCS service facilitator.
Project Access, Inc. operates its CCS program through a partnership with the Community Access to Recovery Services (CARS) branch of the Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division. As a provider in the Milwaukee County BHD CCS Network, we provide care coordination as well as a wide array of ancillary services including Medication Management, Physical Health and Monitoring as well as Wellness Management and Recovery Support Services.
